What is the Sustaining Impact Summit?

The Sustaining Impact Summit is a hybrid, multi-day event that brings together social innovators and ecosystem actors across Africa to explore how to build and sustain impact.

When will the summit take place?

The summit will be held from August 27 to 29.

Where will the summit take place?

The summit is hybrid. In-person masterclasses will be hosted across multiple African countries including Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Tunisia, Namibia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Attendance & Pricing

How can I attend?

  • Virtually (free): Day 1 and Day 2 general sessions.
  • In-person (paid): If chosen for Day 1 and Day 2 masterclass participation.
  • Premium (paid): Day 3 executive sessions, whether attending virtual or in-person.

How much does it cost to attend?

  • Virtual attendance: Free (Day 1 & 2)
  • In-person (Day 1 & 2): Paid access required
  • Day 3 premium sessions: Paid access required

What happens if I register for Day 3?

If you register for Day 3 (Premium), you will not need to pay separately for in-person access on Day 1 and Day 2.
Policies & Transfers

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the event start date. Requests made after this period will not be eligible for a refund.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Tickets are not transferable. However, you may cancel your registration and request a refund (if eligible), which can then be used by another participant to register separately.
Content & Gains

Will sessions be recorded?

  • Day 1 sessions and virtual masterclasses will be recorded and shared.
  • In-person sessions and Day 3 sessions will not be recorded.

Can I record sessions?

Participants may record sessions for personal use. If shared publicly, proper credit must be given to the summit and speakers.

What will I gain from attending?

Participants will gain practical tools, professional connections, funding insights, and strategies to build and sustain impact across Africa.
Deal Room

How does the Deal Room work?

The Deal Room is a curated space designed to connect selected social innovators with potential funders, investors, and partners.

Selection is based on factors such as readiness, alignment with the summit theme, and the strength of the solution or organization. Please note that participation in the Deal Room does not guarantee funding, investment, or partnership outcomes.

How do I participate in the Deal Room?

Participation may be subject to application or invitation. Selection is based on readiness, relevance, and alignment with the summit focus.
Platform & Translation Guide

How do I join the summit on Zoom?

You will receive an exclusive Zoom link and unique passcode via email before the summit begins. Simply click the link at the scheduled time to join the session. Ensure you have the latest version of the Zoom app installed on your device for the best experience.

How do I use the live voice translation?

You can listen to the summit in your preferred language (English or French).

If using a Computer (PC/Mac):
Look at the bottom of your Zoom screen, click the Interpretation (globe) icon, and select your language. To hear only the translator, click the globe again and select "Mute Original Audio".

If using a Phone or Tablet:
Tap your screen to bring up the menu, tap the More (...) icon at the bottom right, and tap Language Interpretation. Select your language and tap "Done".

How do I turn on the live text subtitles on the screen?

Zoom can automatically translate what speakers are saying into subtitles on your screen! Here is how to turn them on:

If using a Computer (PC/Mac):
1. Click the Show Captions (CC) button at the bottom of your screen to turn them on.
2. To change the language, click the little arrow next to the CC button, click Translate to, and select English or French.

If using a Phone or Tablet:
1. Tap your screen, then tap the More (...) icon at the bottom right.
2. Tap Captions to turn them on.
3. To change the translation language, tap More (...) again, go to Meeting Settings, and select your translation language under the Captions section.
